Ballistic Testing completed in accordance with BSI PAS 300

We are the first company to achieve the new Internationally Government recognized British Standard Institute (BSI) specification called PAS 300. The new PAS 300 standard has been sponsored by the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI), it is based on the Vehicle Security Advisory Group (VSAG) VSAG 12 standard for testing.

The four test methods described by this PAS are based on the work by the Vehicle Security Advisory Group (VSAG) and are designed to meet the needs of both the European and international markets.

VSAG is a steering group of security and vehicle specialists representing governments from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and France. They were brought together to create an internationally government recognized standard for testing of up armoured vehicles and for evaluating armoured vehicle companies.

Drivability Road Test from Millbrook

In 2017, Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring completed drivability test from Millbrook UK. The aim of this test programme was to provide more information with an understanding of vehicle capability and driveability of an armoured Toyota Land Cruiser 200 when operating at its in service operational mass.

The vehicle scored highly in the handling assessment that was completed. When driven on the steady state circle and the speed increased progressively, the vehicle was composed and well balanced, understeer was progressive and there was no oversteer evident during the manoeuvre. It was noted that the braking performance was better than would be expected for a vehicle of this size and weight.

Quality Management

We design and manufacture armored vehicles according to international levels such as: NIJIII – NIJIIIA - CEN B4 - B6 - B7 and STANAG 4569 level II. Overlaps and Gap Closures designed to be inline with VPAM VR7.

We at Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring with our experience has created a robust Quality Control Process in production which captures an OEM style of Quality Control for Base Vehicles, Ballistic and Non-Ballistic Materials, In-Process Manufacturing and the Final Armoured Product. All armour vehicle fabrication processes are strictly followed towards our commitment to deliver the highest quality armored vehicle. All our engineering staff are put through rigorous skills training programs and are tested yearly for competence.

Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring establishes, implements, maintains and continually improve a QHS management system, including the processes needed and their interactions, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001: 2007. MEVA determines the processes needed for achieving the Scope of the Management System. These processes include management, resources, operations, measurement, analysis and improvement by determining the required process inputs and outputs and performance indicators along with process interaction and interfaces on which processes depend or enable. This also includes determining responsibilities and authorities for processes and identifying risks and opportunities for processes and plan to address these Risks. These Processes are also periodically evaluated, continually improved and maintained as documented information.
